1989 14th February. Due to financial pressures at Trentham, the club was forced to leave. Thanks to the good offices of British Waterways and the hugely successful staging of the Regattas at Rudyard Lake since 1986, the club was permitted to row at Rudyard Lake. Boats were store temporarily at Trentham and in a barn at Rudyard.

5th August. Trentham Regatta at Rudyard Lake.3 lanes and repechage. 900metres. 95 entries. 6th August. Trentham Sprint.at Rudyard Lake.500 Metres.

1990 10th March. Saw the opening of NSRC’s boathouse at Rudyard by the Mayor of Leek. The boathouse had been purchased by the club members from ICI Ltd. at Fleetwood, Lancashire. It had then been dismantled into its sections, transported and re-erected by the Club members at Rudyard over the winter Lake Regatta and Rudyard Lake Sprint.
24th March. Head of the River Race (HoRR).
             Mortlake-Putney 4.25 miles.
   4h August Rudyard Lake Regatta. 900metres. 54 entries.
   5th August Rudyard Lake Sprint. 500 metres. 69 entries.
